We would like to inform you about the changes being implemented by CBP regarding Forced Labor trade measures. You must be aware that as of March 18th, 2023, the UFLPA Region Alert will add three new validations as follows:

• Postal codes will be a mandatory field for all manufacturers of Chinese origin
• Postal codes, as well as the addresses of the Chinese originating manufacturers, will have to be verified as valid
• For manufacturers in the province of XUAR, CBP will issue a warning letting you know that this zip code has been identified and is not valid for importations

The specific applications impacted will be:

• Cargo Release (SE): Only for the manufacturer party and only when the country is reported as The People´s Republic of China in the SE36 and/or SE56 record. Please note that the Border Cargo/Manifest must be accepted by the CBP system before crossing.
• Manufacturer Identification Code (MID): When creating or updating a MID with a city located in The People´s Republic of China
• This enhancement will provide the ability to update an existing MID with a postal code

Le informamos sobre los cambios que serán implementados por CBP en materia de la Ley Trabajos Forzosos. A partir del 18 de Marzo de 2023, la UFLPA requerirá las siguientes tres validaciones:

• Los códigos postales serán un campo obligatorio para todos los manufacturadores de origen Chino
• Los códigos postales, así como las direcciones de los manufacturadores de origen Chino, tendrán que ser verificados como válidos
• Para los manufacturadores de la provincia de XUAR, CBP emitirá una advertencia, dejando saber que este código postal fue identificado y no es válido para importaciones

Las aplicaciones afectadas serán:

• Cargo Release (SE): Solo para la parte del fabricante y solo cuando el país es reportado como La República Popular China en el registro SE36 y/o SE56. Favor de tomar en cuenta que el Border Cargo/Manifiesto debe ser aceptado por el sistema de CBP previo al cruce.
• Código de Identificación del Fabricante (MID): Al crear o actualizar un MID con una ciudad situada en La República Popular China.
• Esta mejora permitirá actualizar un MID existente con un código postal.
