"Dear Calexico Stakeholders:
The Calexico Port of Entry has received notice of a possible planned protest that will block the Calexico Port of Entry Commercial facility for importation and exportation of goods.
According to the information received. protestors plan to shut down all Ports of Entry along the southern border on February 26, 2015. News and Social media in Mexicali indicate: That a representative for Confederacion de Comerciantes Unidos de la Franja Fronteriza (CCUFF) has stated that this protest is an attempt to pressure the federal government to reduce the costs of importing used vehicles into Mexico. Attached is a link to a newspaper article received as part of the notice to Calexico POE."
