Dear Friends and Customers, 

As you may recall, effective since 2005, all wood packaging material (WPM) imported into the United States must have been treated and stamped as per IPPC and ISPM 15 regulation guidelines.

Please note that effective November 1, 2007, CBP may impose penalties to non-compliant shipments. This is a change from the previous published threshold of 5 violations. Also, there will be no yearly reset for calculating repeat violations as each WPM violation may incur a penalty. In order to avoid said penalties, we encourage all importers to communicate this change in policy throughout its supply chain and corresponding foreign shippers.
