On August 7, 2019, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) published Federal Register (FR) Notice 84 FR 38717 announcing the decision to grant the eighth round of certain exclusion requests from the 10 percent duty, and later amended to 25 percent duty, assessed under the Section 301 investigation related to goods from China ($200B Action - Tranche 3). The product exclusions announced in this notice will apply as of the September 24, 2018 effective date, and will extend for one year after the publication of this notice.

President Trump has announced that beginning Sept. 1 he will impose a 10 percent additional tariff on virtually all of the remaining $300 billion worth of goods imported from China that are not already subject to Section 301 tariffs (List 4 goods).
